ArchaeoLocus maintains a public record of scientific manuscripts, public research papers and later formal outputs. The status of each item is stated explicitly so that a working manuscript is not mistaken for a peer-reviewed publication.
Project pages explain the research. This page records the corresponding publication objects: what has been prepared, which version is authoritative, and whether the work is unpublished, under external consideration or formally published.

A record appearing here does not imply journal acceptance, peer review or magazine publication. Full unpublished manuscripts, high-resolution figures, data packages and code are not released from this page while submission, originality, image-rights or repository conditions remain unresolved.
Status language
- Scientific manuscript: a formal research paper prepared for scholarly publication but not described as peer reviewed unless that process has occurred.
- Scientific working paper: a frozen research master that may still require an external publication route or further evidence gates.
- Public paper: an independently written, accessible treatment of the research rather than a shortened copy of the scientific manuscript.
- Published: used only after an identifiable external publication or repository record exists.
Access and citation
When a paper becomes publicly available, its publication record can carry the final venue, publication date, citation, DOI or stable link. Supporting maps, data and reproducibility material are released separately when permissions, archaeological sensitivity and the publication route allow.
